Gord’s Garlic-Bacon-XXX Cheese bread

You will need

  • 1 loaf of french bread
  • butter
  • garlic plus
  • three kinds of cheese-marble-cheddar-and what ever cheese you fancy!
  • real bacon bits

Butter all your french loaf slices…sprinkle garlic plus/add bacon and cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. WATCH your bread…it can burn quickly.

Tomato Currie Chicken to die for…

You will love this dish!! It is a real treat…

  • 1 package of chicken thighs, or breasts
  • 1 white onion`chopped
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 2tbs of currie
  • 2tbs of butter
  • 3tbs of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • salt/pepper/garlicsalt
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 dash of Frank’s Hot Sauce

First wash chicken, chop onions,and garlic…put everything into a sauce pan and cook on medium heat for 1 hour. Then transfer into a baking dish and bake 1/2 hour. YUMMMY!!

    BIG Bad Broccoli Salad…my specialty!!!!

    You will need;

    • 1 head of broccoli
    • 1 head of cauliflower
    • 1 handful of red grapes
    • 3 boiled eggs
    • 2 stocks of green onion
    • 1/4 cup of walnuts
    • 1 clove of garlic
    • 1/4 cup of feta cheese
    • 1/4 cup Hellman’s mayonaise
    • 1/4 cup of Renee’s Ceasar Dressing
    • dashes of garlic plus/salt/pepper
    • dash of Frank’s Hot Sauce
    • 1 cut up and peeled Honeycrisp apple
    • 1 tbs of honey
    • 1/4 cup grated marble cheese
    • 2 tbls of sour cream

    Combine all the ingredients, cut up all the vegetables, cut up eggs, add spices, cheese, chop up the apple in small pieces, crumble feta,  add honey and garnish with red grapes and grated cheese. Yum Yum!!!!

    John- John’s Mushroom Meat and Sticky Rice Dish

    What you will need;

    • 1 lb fresh ground beef
    • 1 white onion~diced
    • 2 stalks of celery~diced
    • 2 tbs olive oil
    • a handful of button mushrooms~sliced
    • garlic salt/pepper/salt/ celery salt to taste
    • 1 cup sticky rice
    • Italian parsley-garnish~chopped

    In a frying pan sautee~onions, celery,olive oil,spices,ground beef, cook on medium heat until meat is thoroughly cooked.

    In a medium pot of salted boiling water, add washed rice, cook on low heat for 17 minutes. Stir rice and cover till cooked. It should look fluffy and the liquid should be cooked off.

    Plate your rice, and put your meat mixture on top. YUMMY!!

    This is one of my favorite dishes.

    Marilyn’s Mega Mashed Potatoes

    You will need;

    • 6-8 Yukon potatoes
    • 3tbs of salted butter
    • 1/4 cup sour cream
    • 2 tbs of mayonaise
    • 1/4 cup 10% table cream
    • garlic plus(A FEW DASHES)
    • fresh dill( 1tbs)
    • 1tsp dried parsley
    • salt/pepper to taste

    Peel and dice potatoes(wash potatoes first)

    Boil potatoes in salted water until soft

    Mash the potatoes, and butter,cream,mayonaise,spices,and blend till fluffy. Keep mashing until the lumps are all gone, top with dallop of butter. Garnish with fresh dill.

    Shane’s Spinach -Feta-Pine nutty dish

    What’s for diner tonight?? January 17, 2012.

    You will need:

    • Three bushels of spinach, or a plastic container of organic baby spinach
    • 1/4 cup of feta
    • 1/8 cup pine nuts
    • 2 tbs of olive oil
    • salt/pepper to taste
    • dash garlic plus/or garlic salt

    In a frying pan put the olive oil, spinach (wash your spinach first),cook on medium heat for 3 minutes, add crumbled feta,pine nuts and spices. Cook for 2 minutes more combining the ingredients. Your done!

    Yvonne’s Five Cheese decadent Omlete & tomato salad.

    I have a treat for you, IT is a five cheese omlete!!!  Be ready to have people drooling at the breakfast table.

    You will need

    • 5 eggs
    • 1/4 cup 10% table cream
    • 1 cup of a mixture of all the cheese combined, grated together.
    • My favorite cheeses are gouda ,marblecheddar, mozerella, and an old cheddar. 
    • salt/pepper/and a dash of garlic plus/ or garlic salt to taste/freash Italian parsley-chopped. A 1/8 cup.

    In a bowl beat eggs and spices, pour into a buttered non-stick frying pan and cook on low heat. Lift frying pan off the stove top and keep swirling egg mixture to the edges. Cook until egg mixture is cooked. Put the cheese mixture on the top of omlete and fold over. Your DONE!! Yeah!! lol

    Tasty Tomato-cucumber -feta  Salad     

    You will need

    • 4 ripe diced tomatoes/grape tomatoes/cherry tomatoes-Any kind is ok…pick what one you prefer. 
    • 1 clove of garlic, finely- choppped
    • 1 cucumber (diced)
    • salt/pepper/parsley/celery salt
    • 2 tbs olive oil
    • 2 tbs vinegar
    • 1/4 cup feta cheese(crumbled)or chopped in blocks.
    • Garnish with fresh dill/Italian parsley/fresh basil.
    • Add avocado if you want variation.

    Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, and ganish with fresh Italian parsley/fresh basil.

    Miss Yuki’s Yum Yum Shepherd’s Pie

    January 15th, What’s for Dinner?

    This traditional home cooked meal will make anybody happy. It’s so simple to make, and delicious. The savoury taste will be making you want to go back for seconds.

    What you will need is:

    • 2 pounds of ground beef
    • 2 white onions thinly diced
    • 1 clove of chopped garlic
    • 3 stocks of chopped celery
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • 5-6 potatoes depending on the size
    • 1 can of sweet corn
    • 1 can of mushroom gravy
    • 2 tbsp of butter
    • 4 tbsp of olive oil
    • 1/2 package of onion soup mix
    • 1/4 cup 10% table cream
    • 2 tbsp of Hellman’s Mayonnaise

    In a large frying pan, sautee onions and garlic in olive oil together with your chopped celery, add your ground beef and brown for 15 minutes, stirring constantly.

    Add salt and pepper and onion soup mix to your beef mixture.

    In a pot full of salted water, boil your potatoes till soft, then mash with butter, cream and mayonnaise.

    Now that everything is browned, pour your beef mixture in a deep casserole dish. Open the can of gravy and pour over the meat. Add your corn, and stir all ingredients together. Place your mashed potatoes over mixture, and spread it evenly. Then put a dollop of butter on top. 

    Bake in the oven at 350 degrees celsius for 25 minutes!
